How to crop a PDF
- Margins (mm): drag the frame on the page or type each margin. Aspect ratio holds the frame to A4, Letter, Square, 16:9 or a size you set.
- Auto-trim white margins: finds the empty border around the content and moves the frame to it.
- Apply crop to: all pages, the current page, a page range, or odd and even pages apart, for the left and right pages of a scanned book.
Frequently asked questions
Can I crop all pages at once or only one?
Both. Choose 'Apply to current page only', 'Apply to page range', or 'Apply to all pages' before saving. The default applies the same crop to every page.
Will cropped content be permanently deleted from the file?
No, cropping hides content rather than removing it. To permanently delete content outside the crop area, use the Redact tool for sensitive data.
What's the maximum file size I can crop?
There is no fixed limit. HonestPDF processes files in your browser, so the practical limit is your device's available memory. Files up to 500 MB work smoothly on most modern devices.
Can I auto-detect and remove white margins?
