How do I convert a PDF to PNG?

Is PNG better than JPG for this?
For pages with text, tables or line art, yes. JPG compression leaves visible artefacts around sharp edges and they cannot be undone. PNG stores the pixels exactly, which is why it is the safer default for documents. JPG is still the better pick for photo-heavy pages where file size matters.
Will the text still be selectable?
No. A PNG is an image, so the text becomes pixels. If you need the words back, use the PDF to Text tool, or run the image through OCR.
Can I convert only one page?
Yes. Every page is rendered and shown, and you can download just the ones you want instead of the whole set.
What resolution do I get?
Each page is rendered at 144 pixels per inch, twice its size in points: an A4 page comes out 1190 by 1683 pixels. Very large pages, such as posters, are scaled down to fit the browser's canvas limit.
Do transparent areas stay transparent?
PDF pages are opaque, so each exported page has a solid background. PNG's transparency support matters for the format's quality, not for what a page rasterizes to.
