Can I add a logo or image watermark, not just text?
Yes. Drop a PNG or JPG file in the image watermark tab, then adjust scale, opacity, position, and rotation. Transparent PNGs work best for clean branding watermarks.
Can the watermark be removed by someone else?
A watermark stamped onto page content is part of the rendered page and very hard to remove without re-rasterizing. For maximum protection, also flatten the PDF or convert it to image-only PDF after watermarking.
Will the watermark appear behind or over the content?
HonestPDF defaults to drawing over the content with adjustable opacity. True 'behind content' placement requires advanced PDF stream manipulation. For a similar visual effect, lower the opacity to 25-35%.
Can I apply different watermarks to different pages?
Yes, by running the tool multiple times with different page ranges. Add 'DRAFT' to pages 1-5 and download, then re-upload the result and apply 'FINAL' to pages 6 onwards.
Does adding a watermark increase file size much?
No. Text watermarks add a few kilobytes total. Image watermarks add roughly the size of the source image, embedded once in the PDF and referenced on every page.
