How accurate is the HTML to PDF conversion?
Your browser lays the page out with the fonts on your own device, and the tool draws that layout onto A4 pages. Everyday documents come out looking like the page: headings, tables, lists, images and colours. Two things are worth knowing. Elaborate CSS such as shadows, filters and transforms can come out simpler, and the page is drawn as a picture, so the text in the PDF cannot be selected or searched. A converter that runs on a server has the opposite trouble: it renders without your fonts.
Can I convert HTML files containing local images and stylesheets?
Only the ones the file carries itself. A page open in a browser cannot read the files sitting beside it on your disk, so an image or a stylesheet linked by a relative path does not come through; that is a limit of the browser, not of this tool. What does come through: the rules in the document's own style block and in style attributes, and images embedded as data URLs. Scripts are removed. An image with a web address in the markup is requested from its site and drawn only if that site allows other pages to use it, otherwise it is left out; one named only in the CSS is left out rather than fetched from that server.
